Verizon Edgecast is looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in driving email programs. This is a newly created position that will have full control over all email marketing campaigns from inception to completion, and will have complete ownership of the process. This person will get the opportunity to roll up their sleeves, and be hands on throughout to help achieve customer acquisition targets, and high conversion rates.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the email campaign process end-to-end applying industry best practices for successful delivery.
  • Devise and implement email marketing strategies for multiple customer segments for both the technical and non-technical audience.  
  • Develop test plans and apply data driven techniques to optimize email performance.
  • Analyze and track data to maximize the performance of email campaigns to achieve customer acquisition, conversion and growth goals.
  • Optimize and expand the email ecosystem, set guidelines for tone and copy, while overseeing creative development.
  • Create and manage analytic digital dashboards to monitor email campaign performance.
  • Provide ROI analysis for senior management, and make recommendations for best practices and strategies to achieve email marketing performance goals.
  • Understand the entire Sales ecosystem to identify opportunities for new email communication and drip campaigns.
  • Collaborate with individuals in a highly matrixed organization to improve and expand e-mail marketing campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, have a solid understanding of email patterns, and keep current on the latest email marketing methodologies.
  • Employ a consistent best-practice approach for creating email templates, dynamic content, testing methodologies, list segmentation, and deliverability.
  • Perform competitor analysis to understand their e-mail marketing programs and efforts.
  • Continuously research, identify and execute varied email campaigns to drive lead generation targets, increase open rates, CTR and conversion. 


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Email Marketing management with a focus on content, and conversion optimization. 
  • Hands-on experience and proven track record of managing all aspects of email campaigns from creation to delivery
  • Knowledge of major email service providers, and best practices around CAN-SPAM.
  • Strong understanding of the synergy between various components of email and digital marketing.
  • Knowledge of B2B marketing and how business and technical professionals engage with business sites in all environments.
  • Must be flexible, independent and quick to learn.
  • Strong project management, and time management skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and teams.
  • Track record of performing against customer acquisition targets, with strong understanding of return and effectiveness using email marketing.
  • Previous knowledge of the CDN market a plus, but not required.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to speak and write both tech and non-tech.
  • Previous experience creating and presenting marketing plans with a clear sense of direction.​
  • Ability to analyze lots of data to extract and communicate key points. Knowledge of Hubspot, and Salesforce a plus.
  • Strong skills in MS Office; high proficiency in MS Excel. Knowledge of SQL a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile / SCRUM project management a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, including knowledge of how to structure effective A/B tests for email campaign optimization.
  • Ability to prioritize amongst many competing demands from multiple stakeholders.​
  • Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree preferred.
