What You’re Applying For:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Email and Retention Marketing, the Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for implementing strategies to drive Edmunds email marketing efforts to deliver on key channel goals. Focusing on developing and executing email campaign strategies that drive traffic, increase revenue, and build brand awareness and retention, the Email Marketing Manager will manage email campaigns throughout the B2C and B2B customer lifecycles. This role is responsible for optimizing the efficiency of Edmunds' email communication with our customers and ensuring it's delivered in a personalized and relevant fashion to produce results for the bottom line.
What You’ll Do:
- Co-manage various email campaigns (lead generation, lifecycle, retention), including template design, call-to-action and content strategy, and performance analysis in close partnership with other cross-functional teams.
- Help define and execute personalized email strategies to deliver on channel revenue goals.
- Grow our email list base organically.
- Develop strategies based on segments, customer profiles and behavioral data to address various stages of the customer journey with relevant content and messaging.
- Develop roadmaps and implementation strategies for personalization, video and ad insertion.
- Measure results and optimize lead-nurturing workflows by campaign to convert leads.
- Work to minimize email list decay and unsubscribe (churn) and increase the productivity of our email sends.
- Co-lead A/B testing, performance optimization and campaign enhancement efforts.
- Support campaigns for cross-functional teams who rely on email communication.
- Monthly clean-up and maintenance of email address database.

What You Need:
- Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through testing and email optimization
- Ability to work with technology and business analytics teams to support data integration and transactional messaging needs
- Data Management skills with machine learning and user insight focus
- Ability to multitask on various campaigns and product goals simultaneously and to track results
- Strong desire to learn and apply advanced technologies for marketing and program growth
- Ease of communication with third-party vendors to optimize efficiency with external platform integrations
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally, influencing and presenting to partners at all levels
- Excellent storytelling, communication, presentation, cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills are critical
- Excellent organizational skills

- HTML experience or similar experience that demonstrates ability to learn the basics
- Data management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Comfortable with a fluid work environment where priorities change often due to business needs
- Creativity in problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new softwares / SaaS
- Solid experience developing and leading successful email and retention marketing strategies across multiple programs and priorities preferred
