POSITION OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for an agile, creative, and intellectually curious Director of Retention & Loyalty Marketing that will make a BIG impact on a fast growing business. You’re a data-driven entrepreneur that has a deep understanding of consumer psychology and how to build long-term relationships with our customers. You’ll lead the effort to get new customers to complete their first booking, then to repeat. The ideal candidate has a combination of deep marketing experience, creative skills, strategic planning and analytics, brand, communications expertise, and strong team leadership. You’ll work closely with the executive team and have an immediate impact on our product roadmap.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning: Develop integrated marketing strategies that drives first-time bookings, repeats, and customer lifetime value. Own the vision for how we use key user engagement levers (including email, push/SMS, referrals, promotions, and direct mail) to drive growth from first time purchasers and our most loyal VIPs alike.
  • CRM: Lead all efforts to increase customer loyalty and engagement. Dive into customer data and define customer segments that you’ll use to power personalized CRM campaigns. Rapidly test and iterate.
  • Analytics: Define and track our KPIs for user engagement. Own moving those metrics up and to the right.
  • Management and leadership: Hire and lead a talented team of growth marketers to execute on our strategy.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of growth marketing experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment or a larger company with a strong entrepreneurial culture
  • Strategy consulting experience is a plus
  • Experience with e‐commerce or a sharing economy-based model is a plus
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing, or related disciplines

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated success in designing, executing, and optimizing marketing strategies
  • Proven track record of making data-driven marketing decisions using analytics, surveys, and A/B testing
  • Solid understanding of product marketing, product positioning, and brand strategy
  • Proficient in conducting detailed data analyses and using metrics to drive business results
  • Excellent creativity and sense of visual design
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases is a plus
  • Experience using CRM technology is a plus (e.g. ESPs, mobile push notification providers, on-site and in-app personalization tools)
  • Senior presence, able to clearly and consistently work side-by-side with a broad range of functions
  • Proven success taking an aggressive approach to marketing, with a willingness to push the envelope and try new things. Not afraid to be creative, test, and think outside of what you’ve done in the past, or what is industry standard
