The Director of Customer Acquisition will build and lead the performance marketing function. Given the size and growth expectations for Laurel & Wolf, this person must have "start-up" DNA and take a “hands-on” approach to scaling. The Director of Customer Acquisition would be responsible for creating and driving the brand’s growth vision. This position oversees paid acquisition marketing with primary focus initially on social and TV.
 
This position partners closely with creative, brand, content and partnership teams to make sure the right marketing stories are being told at the right time. The Director of Customer Acquisition should be a performance marketing genius who lives and breathes CPA targets and LTV expectations (knowing how the two work together) and be able to connect with customers in a meaningful and authentic way. This is a high-impact, high-growth role, the right person has enormous potential to grow with the organization and significantly widen scope as targets are achieved.
Responsibilities:
  • Lay out strategic marketing roadmap for the brand
  • Continue to build on SEO presence, with seamless coordination with the content marketing team
  • Develop acquisition strategy and oversee all paid media efforts
  • Drive conversion of current site visitors to leads and clients through complete funnel optimization
  • Optimize referral program
  • Develop, test and scale new high ROI potential marketing channels
  • Oversee all CRM marketing efforts including email revenue generation
  • Maintain marketing calendar of relevant stories and organize resources/programs to tell each story within the right touchpoints
  • Hire and develop the performance marketing organization
What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of ecommerce, performing marketing and/or digital marketing experience
  • Proven track record of success hitting aggressive, early-stage growth targets
  • Deep expertise in SEO, paid social, content marketing and direct response TV
  • Prior experience growing and scaling a team
  • Expertise in analytical tools (e.g. Google Analytics), direct marketing principles and ability to mentor/coach junior team members in both
  • 2+ years strategy experience in consumer products a plus
