Developer Relations Manager
TeleSign’s Developer Relations Manager will be responsible for building relationships with developers who are looking to add global communications and fraud prevention capabilities within their web & mobile apps.
The Developer Relations Manager will help build and execute the developer go-to-market strategy at TeleSign while managing the establishment and growth of a thriving TeleSign Developer ecosystem. This includes management of the developer journey funnel from awareness, selection, purchase, adoption, and success, to loyalty and advocacy.
Major responsibilities for the position include: Developer Outreach, including developer surveys and interviews, developer acquisition, pipeline acceleration, campaign target list creation, event generation to Program Management including event logistics and support, data analysis, rewards programs, evangelist & advocacy programs, and program administration. Working closely with Marketing, Product and Sales teams in all regions, this role will have high visibility both within and outside the organization.
Other Responsibilities Include:
· Build and manage the TeleSign developer ecosystem worldwide
· Identify deliverables that will enable developers to build, innovate and succeed
· Inspire tomorrow’s developers to get started today and allow developers to influence product direction
· Increase purchase preference amongst developer buyers and encourage successful developers to become advocates
· Develop a deep understanding of our use cases and related products and their underlying implementations
· Educate developers on TeleSign’s product use cases and work with developers to identify other use cases
· Identify, create and post developer topics, blogs, tips, tweets, etc. in various forums to drive engagement and usage / respond to developer comments
· Continuously monitor developer listing sites – add/update TeleSign messaging as needed
· Speak at Developer-related events to evangelize the TeleSign story
· Continuously gather feedback and requirements from developers (and present findings to key stakeholders in a timely manner)
· Help manage relationships with both internal and external technical teams
· Assist with troubleshooting developers’ technical issues
· Work closely with internal engineering and development teams to recreate, prioritize, and triage bugs
· Work closely with product management to prioritize developer needs
· Work closely with marketing to prioritize demand generation efforts, programs and campaign, events and messaging
· Define, create and manage the development of content and technical documents (and manage other tech writers or contractors, if necessary)
Preferred experience & qualifications
· 5+ years of software engineering experience, with experience building commercial software
· 3+ years and proven success in the development and management of developer communities with significant engagement
· 3+ years of partner engineering or solutions engineering experience at a consumer or enterprise technology company
· Preferable knowledge in writing technical documentation (API/SDK Quick Starts, Tutorials and other engaging content that assist free trial users upgrade to paid plans)
· A personable sales engineer with management, business development, product-related skills and selling background
· Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
· Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
· Strong communication, presenting skills and public speaking abilities
