The role:

As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our Growth and Engineering teams to translate data requirements and implement scalable data extraction and warehousing solutions.  We are looking for someone who takes data quality and reliability seriously. Your role will play a critical part in empowering our analysts to make insightful decisions around product.

Responsibilities:

• Work with data analysts, engineers, and product managers to understand data needs.
• Own data quality and validation.
• Design, build and manage new data pipelines and ETL processes and tools.
• Support existing processes and tools.
• Triage data issues to a timely resolution.

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to work independently and across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Hadoop
• Excellent SQL skills
• Shell Scripting (Python, Perl, Bash, etc.). 
• The ability to consume internal and external data sources and api's.
• A commitment to data reliability
• Obsessed with query performance optimization
