The Customer Experience Designer is responsible for developing interaction and information architecture deliverables (such as, site maps, process flows, user scenarios, wireframes, mental models, personas, interaction specifications and prototypes) for a variety of user interfaces.

This position is responsible for driving innovative and groundbreaking user experiences across our full websites and internal support tools.  The Customer Experience Designer will be also responsible for conducting user research activities including user interviews and observation, ideation sessions, usability studies and other user research techniques to inform user-centered insights for final deliverables.  You will collaborate with fellow members of the product and engineering teams to conceptualize, wireframe, and develop useful, engaging and spectacular products across JDate and ChristianMingle, and possibly other brand properties owned by Spark Networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Translate business, product and marketing requirements into best-in class products on the full website that provide greater awareness, positive feedback, brand affinity, and increased consumption
-Collaborate with Product managers to translate customer requirements, data and study results into defined architecture and user flows that inspire development of the right product experience
-Produce detailed, annotated wireframes, user journeys, storyboards, site-maps, prototypes and other UI UX documentation for build.
-Research interaction design trends and technology trends to frequently propose new solutions to complex user-centered design problems.
-Develop Information Architecture documentation to support site strategy, internal and user process flows, and desired user behaviors.
-Take projects through from conception to completion, developing your designs from research insights and ensuring your designs are implemented by developers as intended.
-Represent the user’s perspective at all times

REQUIREMENTS: DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

-3+ years’ experience in UI/UX or User Interaction design, with numerous products in your portfolio.
-Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
-A background in game mechanics and interaction models
-Experience at creating production-level wireframes, sitemaps, storyboards and prototypes using -Axure, Omnigraffle or Visio.
-High degree of creativity, user experience, interaction design and problem solving abilities
-Passionate self-starter with high-level of initiative, strong sense of ownership and a disciplined approach to quality and its effect on the intended audience
-Ability to produce meaningful and effective design artifacts for complex transactional interfaces, taxonomies and metadata frameworks, and templates
-Problem solving skills and coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
-Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
