Who we are:

CurbStand, a Los Angeles based technology startup that has developed a modern cashless payment platform for the valet and parking business.  Our mobile application is changing the way we valet our cars and pay for that service! 

What we need:

We are looking for a startup junkie to join our team as a Chief Technical Officer, to oversee our current tech structure and help move us into the future as we grow. We need someone with good mobile application development experience, strong leadership skills, prior vendor management and fiercely passionate about delivering a quality experience to the customer.

●     Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science.

●     Proven track record of successfully launching mobile applications and an infrastructure.

●     7 plus years’ software development and project/product management experience.

●     Minimum 5 years of building and managing a technical product development teams.

●     Minimum 3 years of developing/leading mobile application software development.

●     Strong SDLC and infrastructure experience – frontend to backend architecture knowledge.

●     Experience building highly scalable server applications and APIs using a wide range of technologies.

●     Hands-on development and architecture experience: Mobile Apps (iOS and Android), web frameworks (Ruby on Rails), JSON APIs, and Infrastructure including cloud hosting.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for leading technology vision and roadmap for the company. 

●     Own the company’s tech stack, which is currently a mix of:

o      Ruby on Rails powered website and JSON API

o      Objective-C iPhone app

o      Java Android app

o      Cloud hosting including Heroku and AWS

●     Make changes to the tech stack as appropriate to scale the business

●     Be a technology evangelist and visionary for the company.

●     Build your internal and external teams of resources.

●     Implement appropriate development and project management methodologies.

●     Demonstrate your ability to recruit, challenge, coach and reward high performance individuals.

●     Prove your prowess to learn quickly, adapt efficiently and respond to challenges effectively.

●     Show superb communication, leadership and partnering skills at “C” level and below the line.

●     Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to success.
