Hawke Media is looking for a PR/Journalism/Marketing/Communications/English student who is passionate about breaking into the exciting world of content creation.

This individual will apply proven communication skills, organization skills, and content development strategies to manage the development of unique web content across a wide range of verticals.

Internship available only to those receiving class credit (fall semester or quarter). Must have your own laptop.

Responsibilities:

• You will pitch blog ideas and write content as needed for clients' blogs and social media accounts.

• You will ensure all content meets stringent SEO and editorial standards.

• You must be self-directed and proactive in seeking out information and strategic content.

• You should be able to understand and incorporate constructive feedback and adjust your writing accordingly in future work.

• You need to be able to produce on strict deadlines.

Required Skills/Competencies/Qualities:

• Ability to receive class credit for the Internship
• Ability to commit to 20-30 hours a week (flexible hours)
• General web copywriting and web editing experience
• General experience creating content or editorial calendars
• Demonstrated ability to get things done (hustle) & to continue to follow up on content placement pitches that weren’t successful the first or second time
• Blogging experience {Desired}
• Basic understanding of keyword research & selection {Desired}
• Basic HTML or image editing experience {Desired}
• Outstanding written communication skills
• Administrator/moderator of a forum or blog (A bonus)

Experience:

• This is an entry level position, but internship/part-time/summer job/etc experience are all a plus. Hawke Media will provide job skill specific training but applicants must have a solid understanding of the Internet, copywriting, viral web content and Internet technologies.
