The B2B Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive incremental business with our industry partners and to build ongoing brand awareness of Edmunds as technology and sales solution leaders in the automotive industry. This role will also be a key support to the Edmunds field sales team in developing and executing both national and local marketing initiatives.
As part of Edmunds B2B marketing campaign efforts, the B2B Marketing Manager will develop and oversee the production of a variety of cross-channel materials needed to effectively communicate internally and externally.
This B2B Marketing Manager must be well versed in both online and offline mediums with proven experience developing effective marketing campaigns for automotive business audiences. Excellent project management skills are a must and the B2B Marketing Manager must be adept at working cross-functionally with all departments within the organization. This position reports to the Director, B2B Marketing.
What You’ll Do:
- Project manage B2B marketing campaigns from start to finish to drive sales opportunities and generate revenue for the Tier 3 (automotive retailer) side of the business
- Partner with creative team on content and design to build effective B2B campaigns
- Regularly gather insights and feedback from the sales field team and our B2B partners
- Report analytics on marketing campaigns; evaluate and make recommendations to optimize performance
- Perform industry research and recommend innovative marketing solutions and best practices
- Develop a broad range of online and offline marketing communications materials
- Work collaboratively with the Events team on sponsorships, marketing materials to support industry/trade events, and supporting campaigns
- Maintain inventory of B2B marketing materials and update regularly
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to coordinate production of projects and to ensure integration of effort and consistency in brand positioning
- Manage the production schedule of media campaigns, ensuring all deliverables are submitted timely
- Build and manage communications materials directed at channel partners, mainly automotive retailers
- Assist in training new department personnel (contractors or full-time employees)
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications with emphasis on marketing communications for business-to-business relationships preferred
- Must have at minimum 7 years of marketing/communications experience, and 7-10 years overall work experience
- Must be comfortable with a constantly changing environment
- Able to project manage across many moving, high-priority work streams
- Proficiency in content development/writing
- Excellent technology skills preferred with experience using Keynote, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
- Experience developing performance metrics for marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Ability to write a creative brief
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative to proactively suggest and execute programs based on assessed needs
- Automotive industry experience required, preferably working with or for automotive retailers
