THE OPPORTUNITY

The Analytics Manager will be responsible for managing pricing, inventory, and personalization analytics and tools. The Manager will collaborate with business teams in defining and prioritizing pricing and inventory analytic projects, design tools to streamline pricing tasks, and structure reports to share business insights. The Manager will identify appropriate use cases where analytics can be applied to optimize business results.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage regular pricing execution and analytics.
  • Improve pricing models and automation to maximize revenue and margin.
  • Work with business leaders to identify promotional opportunities.  Analyze promotional pricing impact.
  • Analyze inventory coverage from various sources.  Identify and forecast inventory opportunities from primary partners.  Work with Sales team to structure inventory acquisition details.
  • Provide analytic support for strategic initiatives around pricing, inventory, promotion, and personalization. 
  • Create quantitative analyses and mine data to derive actionable insights.  Predict and explain trends and variations in performance metrics. 
  • Create tools to automate or streamline routine pricing, inventory, and analytics activities.
  • Generate reporting to track and measure the results of our pricing models.

 

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, finance or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in retail or eCommerce preferred.
  • Experience in designing analytics technologies, implementing analytic processes, and leading a team of analysts.
  • Experience implementing solutions using advanced analytics tools and applications.
  • Working experience with modern agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Experience in statistical software, SQL, and R. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
