Startup advisor and angel investor Eytan Elbaz, widely known for his work with gaming giant Scopely and Google’s AdSense, announced in January that he and long-time friend Vic Belonogoff have launched Render Media Inc., a digital media publisher that has already seen incredible growth.
Render Media launches with two established and rapidly growing news properties, Opposing Views and America News; a food content site called Food Please; and a fact-based video channel, Watch This. Combined, Render’s properties get 28 million monthly uniques and have a Facebook audience of over 14 million people. As a demonstration of Elbaz and Belonogoff’s knack for rapid growth, in just 4 months since its launch, America News has already skyrocketed to 10 million unique monthly visitors.
“Our strategy was to build two profitable news destinations and grow into new verticals by replicating the successes of our initial properties,” says Belonogoff, Render Media CEO. “In the last two years, our revenue has increased by 1,157 percent and our traffic has increased by 933 percent. We expect to see great results in 2016 as we launch into several new verticals. Render Media is now the digital media parent company of our growing brand roster.”
Render Media is headquartered in Los Angeles and launches having already signed agreements with Rubicon Project, OpenX and data management provider Krux. Former SpinMedia Executive Vice President Ross Cimino joins Render as Chief Revenue Officer, working alongside Elbaz, Belonogoff and COO Rachel Bullock on the company’s executive team.
“We are expecting huge acceleration for our current and new properties in the coming year,” says Elbaz, Chairman at Render. “Technology infrastructure and a quickly changing social media landscape allow for new players like us to rapidly build audiences and engagement levels that would have taken traditional media companies decades to build. We are excited to see where the next year takes our company.”
