Cerity Partners is searching for talented, bright, and motivated individuals with the highest level of personal integrity to join our Santa Barbara team January 2026 – Spring 2026. We are seeking a team player with a positive attitude and the highest level of personal integrity to join our team.

This is a paid internship program (20-30 hours per week) and a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a professional environment. This role offers a flexible schedule, collaborative team atmosphere, and autonomy to manage your projects. This role is also ideal for someone looking for a part-time seasonal position in the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Shadow and participate in various types of client presentations
  • Utilize Emoney and financial planning software systems for retirement planning analysis
  • Shadow and assist Financial Advisors with preparation of financial documents and performance reports
  • Perform research on stocks, bonds, alternative investment and other securities, utilizing various investment software systems and implement strategies for client portfolios
  • Utilize Bloomberg Tax Projection system and assist financial advisors with tax projections
  • Learn about and participate in portfolio optimization, and rebalancing
  • Conduct independent research and build spreadsheets for financial planning opportunities
  • Become familiar with the financial planning software, eMoney
  • Work on a system integration project and assist with:
    • Account maintenance
    • Data clean up
    • Merger integration
  • Support team by answering questions and troubleshooting issues
  • Work with a team virtually to create a financial planning project or investment research project
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Finance or similar field with a strong academic record.
  • Exhibits a strong interest in public and private capital markets and portfolio management.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Bloomberg.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

Hourly Rate:

$25.00/hr.
