What we’re looking for

We're looking for a hands-on, data-driven VP of Product, Growth & Monetization to lead our efforts across acquisition, onboarding, and conversion—from free to paid. This role is critical to accelerating our product-led growth motion by leveraging embedded product experiences to drive self-serve acquisition and expanding usage through innovative feature discovery.

You’ll report to the Chief Product Officer and lead a high-impact team focused on growth and monetization, with direct responsibility for improving free-to-paid conversion, optimizing pricing & packaging, and increasing lifetime value. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX, Marketing, and Data Science to run experiments, ship impactful improvements, and align product investments with revenue goals.

What you’ll be working on

  • Own and drive the end-to-end strategy for acquisition, onboarding, and conversion, ensuring a seamless journey from prospect to paying customer.
  • Build seamless and scalable user flows for sign-up, upgrade, billing, and account management
  • Develop, test, and optimize pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies to maximize revenue and customer value.
  • Pricing and packaging strategy for all self-serve plans (Free + Paid Tiers)
  • Analyze data and user behavior to identify opportunities for growth and conversion improvement, implementing solutions at scale.
  • Stay hands-on with experimentation, analytics, and go-to-market initiatives to ensure rapid iteration and learning.
  • Cross-functional leadership across Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Data to align growth efforts with company goals

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 12+ years of Product Management experience including 5+ years leading and developing high-performing teams at the manager and director level within SaaS organizations
  • Deep understanding of PLG mechanics with a proven track record of moving key metrics (e.g., activation, retention, conversion) through product changes
  • Demonstrated success in driving acquisition, onboarding, and conversion initiatives
  • Expertise in pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies for SaaS products
  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort with experimentation, A/B testing, and data tools
  • Experience scaling product teams and defining org structures that enable autonomy, alignment, and fast iteration
  • Demonstrated ability to operationalize continuous user insight generation and embed it into product decisions at scale
  • Comfort balancing strategy and execution—you're just as energized by whiteboarding the future as you are digging into today's funnel data
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Collaborative leadership style with a bias for action and outcomes

The base pay provided for this position ranges from $292,000 / year - $343,000 / year depending on the geographic market and assuming a full-time schedule. Actual base pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education or training, skills, and experience.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
