Vice President, Business Development, Global Fintech
Overview:
The Global Partnerships team is responsible for cultivating and managing Mastercard's strategic partnerships with key players across the payments ecosystem. The team works with global players in tech, e-commerce, and financial services to create innovative, differentiated products and solutions that shape the future of commerce. Through a consultative approach, and inspired by Mastercard's longstanding focus on inclusive growth, we are passionate about working hand in hand with mission-aligned companies to solve real-world problems for people and businesses around the world.
The Global Partnerships Fintech team builds strategic relationships with top companies in tech, ecommerce, and finance, leveraging Mastercard's capabilities to solve real-world challenges and deliver seamless, secure, and inclusive payment experiences for all partners and their customers.
We are looking for a strategic, product-savvy, and globally minded strategic leader to lead business development with Global Fintech partners in strategic focus areas for Mastercard; across a variety of verticals including acquiring, issuing, and multi-rail / infrastructure providers aligning with the company's mission to connect people, partners, and technology for a stronger Fintech ecosystem.
Role• Own the Commercial Growth & Go-To-Market Execution• Drive commercial success by structuring broad, high-value partnerships to deliver sticky, long-term client relationships.• Support regional business development teams in expanding MasterCard's Fintech footprint, identifying key market opportunities and defining an opportunity roadmap.• Lead the identification and execution of key use cases, ensuring that MasterCard's solutions address industry pain points and create value for Fintech.• Lead high-impact commercial initiatives that drive MasterCard's position in the Fintech sector.• Position MasterCard as a thought leader by engaging with key industry stakeholders, representing the company at global Fintech conferences, and advocating for innovative payment solutions.• Identify gaps and innovation opportunities in the Fintech sector and work closely with product teams to drive new capabilities and enhancements tailored to industry needs.• Champion solutions that bridge the Fintech infrastructure with digital transformation, ensuring seamless, scalable, and cost-effective deployments.• Collaborate with product, data, and consulting teams to create bundled offerings that drive value for Fintech partners and optimization.• Ensure industry insights inform MasterCard's product development, partnerships, and market positioning. • Provide strategic oversight on key RFPs, ensuring that MasterCard remains competitive in the Fintech space.• You will be accountable to build mutually aligned strategies and plans with your partners and execute them by effectively leveraging the Mastercard organization.
You will be responsible for executing Mastercard's go-to-market strategy across a holistic suite of products and services. • You will co-innovate with partners to build new product propositions through close collaboration with Mastercard product development and innovation teams. • You will be responsible for driving Mastercard revenue growth and be comfortable developing business cases including ROI analyses as well as leading responses to RFPs.• You will lead negotiations with partners and with internal stakeholders and develop terms sheets and contracts.

The ideal candidate will be a high-impact, strategic leader with the ability to navigate complex organizations, drive pipeline, and execute a global vision for MasterCard's Fintech business. Key qualifications & experiences include:• Proven experience in the payments industry, Fintech, or other related verticals, with a strong understanding of industry challenges and business models.• Ability to define and execute global Fintech strategies, build high-value partnerships, and drive commercial success.• Experience in launching new products and solutions in industries built on legacy systems, overcoming barriers to innovation.• Experience representing an organization at global industry events, conferences, and executive-level engagements.• Ability to work in a complex, global environment and influence both internal teams and external partners, advocating for MasterCard's value proposition in the travel sector.• Experience working across multiple regions, understanding market dynamics, and tailoring strategies to regional nuances

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.
