About the Role
We are seeking a user-experience (UX) designer to shape intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital learning experiences. In this role, you will collaborate with product managers, developers, subject-matter experts, and customers to design solutions that support effective teaching and meaningful learning outcomes. You will be responsible for understanding learner needs through research, translating insights into user flows and wireframes, and delivering polished, user-centric interfaces that align with pedagogy and accessibility standards.
The ideal candidate is passionate about improving education through thoughtful design, grounded in research, and skilled at simplifying complex learning workflows. You will advocate for usability across the product lifecycle, conduct usability testing, iterate based on feedback, and ensure that each product experience is inclusive for diverse learners and educators. This role combines creativity, empathy, and problem-solving to help build impactful EdTech tools that truly support learning.
What you'll do
- Lead the creation and implementation of customized experiences for the digital user
- Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps
- Provide guidance to development teams to help them execute UX designs
- Identify target user groups and carry out interviews or other types of inquiry to help understand user needs
- Perform tests on user interface elements such as CTAs, layouts, target links, landing pages and banners
- Participate in evaluating and integrating third-party tools and infrastructure components
- Establish and maintain a product documentation library to be used by both the business and technical teams to ensure products adhere to UX best practices
- Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior
- Maintain a competitive edge against competitor products and industry trends
- Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both
About you
- Demonstrable experience in UX/UI design, responsive and mobile design, and visual design
- Strong, hands-on experience using Figma and Canva
- Demonstrable experience conducting user research and applying insights to design decisions
- Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills, ideally in high-growth organizations
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, delivery and outcomes
- Experience leading design projects and facilitating workshops with large groups of stakeholders
- Experience with market and competitor analysis
Bonus Points
- Experience with education platforms, LMS, or student data/reporting tools
- Knowledge of the medical and nursing education markets
- Familiarity with Monday (and Monday Dev), JIRA, Confluence or similar tools
- Understanding of accessibility in the higher education technology space.
