Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.

At Snowflake, our rapid growth and ongoing commitment to acquiring new talent and technologies demand a highly strategic and operational Total Rewards function. We are seeking an exceptional Total Rewards Program Manager to serve as the critical nexus for all Total Rewards strategic initiatives, M&A integrations, and global program management.

This role requires a blend of sharp business acumen, project leadership, and a functional understanding of Compensation and Benefits. You will be responsible for ensuring the Total Rewards organization operates with optimal efficiency, focusing on structure, resource allocation, and predictable program delivery across the globe. This is a highly visible, strategic role that interacts regularly with HR leadership, Finance, and Executive stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

M&A Integration and Strategic Triage (50%)

  • Lead Total Rewards M&A Integration: Serve as the primary, end-to-end Total Rewards lead for all M&A activities globally (targeting 2-5 small acquisitions annually).

    • Oversee due diligence efforts, identifying key risks, compliance gaps, and integration costs related to compensation, benefits, equity, and payroll.

    • Partner with Legal, Finance, and acquired company leadership to design, communicate, and execute the total rewards integration strategy post-close.

    • Act as the central point of contact, triaging all Total Rewards-related issues during the integration process and escalating complex matters to the appropriate compensation or benefits Subject Matter Expert (SME).

  • Total Rewards Strategy Execution: Lead the execution of strategic Total Rewards initiatives defined by the VP, Total Rewards, driving projects from concept through final delivery.

Global Program and Portfolio Management (50%)

  • Portfolio Management & Governance: Design, implement, and manage a structured portfolio approach for all major global compensation and benefits projects (e.g., Annual Review Cycle, global benefit renewals, new compensation plan rollouts).

  • Resource and Capacity Planning: Partner with Compensation and Benefits leadership to optimize resource allocation, ensuring project teams are properly staffed and deadlines are met efficiently.

    • Proactively identify dependencies, flag potential resource bottlenecks, and propose solutions to maintain momentum across concurrent initiatives.

  • Process Optimization and Standardization: Establish and enforce project management best practices, tools, and templates for the Total Rewards function to improve transparency, predictability, and collaboration across the team and with internal partners (e.g., HRIS, People Partners, Finance).

  • Management Reporting: Develop clear, concise reporting and status updates for the VP, Total Rewards and other senior leaders, providing a comprehensive view of the global program status, risks, and required decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years focused on Program Management or Total Rewards Operations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading HR or Total Rewards workstreams for M&A integration is required.

  • Proven ability to manage a diverse portfolio of simultaneous, complex, and high-stakes projects on a global scale.

  • Strong foundational understanding of core Total Rewards principles (Compensation, Benefits, Equity, and Compliance), with the ability to articulate business implications without needing to be the functional SME.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align senior leaders and cross-functional partners (VP-level and above).

  • High proficiency in project management methodologies, tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday.com), and advanced presentation software.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environment, quickly structuring complex problems into actionable plans.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
