Clearance Requirements

 

Secret clearance is required. Must have clearance (and relevant certifications) prior to start in role.

 

 

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

Job Title:  Technical Project Manager

Location:  Remote

Travel Required:  10% – 25%

 

Primary Responsibilities

WWT is seeking a Technical Project who will serve on a team of technical engineers in support of the CSfC Marine Corps and Navy teams. Candidates will be involved in the planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks that includes requirements analysis and optimizing network performance. The ideal candidate will possess good communication, presentation, and writing skills. They will have a proven track record of being a problem solver and team player who is capable of working in a technically challenging environment supporting the Department of the Navy and Marine Corps.

  • Provide technical leadership for various projects to meet goals and timelines.
  • Design technical solutions to address project requirements.
  • Strong understanding of various technologies including
    • Layer 2 Switching
      • VLANs
      • Trunking
      • Switch configuration, hardening, and troubleshooting
    • Layer 3 Routing
    • VPN Technologies
    • VMWare vSphere and ESXi
    • Firewall Systems
      • Cisco
      • Juniper
      • Palo Alto
      • Aruba
  • Deep understanding of TCP/UDP transport technologies and general port allocations.
  • Understand the architecture of the virtual environment and make recommendations and changes that will provide enhancements. 
  • Develops advanced technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
  • Troubleshoots highly complex system hardware and software issues.
  • Develops training materials for end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Conducts advanced hardware and software audits of the system to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Develops performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users.
  • Evaluates existing systems and plans long-term strategies.
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
  • May serve as a team or task lead.
