 Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Project Manager for customer-facing software development and deployment projects. You will be working within an established team of professional services employees.

 

The role will include:

  • Working with external and internal stakeholders to create project plans
  • Tracking and reporting against those plans
  • Communication with stakeholders and team members
  • Coordination of task execution with matrixed teams
  • Proactive management of risk
  • Perform onsite scoping sessions
  • Meet face to face with customers for project kick off sessions

 

Responsibilities

  • The Project Manager will work with technical resources to:
  • Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Work with external and internal stakeholders to create project plans
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Track and report progress against plan
  • Serve as a primary point of communication between customers and Everbridge
  • Identify and manage issues, including escalating issues as needed within Everbridge or to customers
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Become highly familiar with our software products and maintain awareness of the latest product features and capabilities
  • Provide professional services supporting specialized implementations resulting in smooth, well-coordinated projects which meet targeted live dates and budgets.
  • Perform technical configuration, development, and integration tasks required for project completion, set up and configuration.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PMP-ACP, or CAPM certification
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the fields of computer science, business, or communications
  • Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills; written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or other project management applications
  • Knowledge of web-based software application implementations
  • Experience or training in computer applications/software support highly preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
