Your Role
We are seeking an experienced, curious, and impact-driven Design Strategist with outstanding interpersonal and strategic communication skills to join our growing multi-disciplinary Strategy team. Sitting at the intersection of research, systems thinking, and creative problem-solving, you will shape strategic direction on complex projects spanning organizational transformation and enabling shifts in the workplace, work practices, service delivery, behaviors, protocols, culture, and technology.
Ideally, you have experience in change management and are facile in thinking creatively in evaluation of clients’ conditions and develop tailored change programs and communication strategies that incorporate stakeholder inputs, co-develop solutions, assess options, and ultimately support their business objectives.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and can work nimbly across multiple projects simultaneously; an emerging leader with a self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset who will contribute to the evolution of our practice and strengthen client relationships.
What You Will Do
Lead teams and strategic workstreams on cross-functional projects—from discovery through delivery
Design and implement qualitative research programs including interviews, focus groups, ethnographic observation, and desktop research
Translate insights into frameworks such as personas, opportunity areas, service blueprints, and change roadmaps
Design and facilitate client workshops, co-design sessions, and stakeholder engagements
Develop and implement change management strategies that raise awareness through communications and create both ownership and capability that last beyond the program
As necessary, collaborate and partner with clients’ internal HR, Real Estate, Facilities and Corporate Communications
Create appropriate tools - communications, events, engagements, etc. - to address client needs and respecting resource availability
Develop compelling deliverables that blend storytelling, analysis, and design— presented visually and verbally
Collaborate with consultants, designers, analysts, and subject matter experts to ensure strategic alignment across disciplines
Contribute to project scoping, proposals, and internal knowledge-sharing
Your Qualifications
5–8 years of experience in design strategy, change management, human-centered consulting, experience strategy, or service design
Strong skills in facilitation, qualitative and quantitative research, synthesis, and insight generation
Confident communicator who can adapt voice and visual tools to suit diverse clients and stakeholders with strong persuasive writing, verbal communication, and listening skills
Experience managing or leading workstreams and navigating ambiguity with structure and empathy
Design strategy experience or experience in a design-related field preferred
Ability to translate findings into client-specific strategies that address business goals
Proficiency in the following programs is preferred (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Miro; Microsoft Teams; Adobe Creative Suite – In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Experience in working with public sector, civic, or cultural organizations is preferred.
**The base salary will be estimated between $100-112k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
