As Sr. Systems Architect II, you’ll lead sustainment and enhancement of mission-critical development and production environments (SDE and PROD/PSS). You will apply expert-level skills across the Oracle EBS stack—UI customizations, backend PL/SQL, interfaces, workflows, and Exadata/OCI infrastructure—to ensure system performance, data integrity, and alignment with DoD compliance and logistics mission needs. This role is a strategic bridge between technical execution and functional outcomes in a complex, high-availability DoD ERP ecosystem.

We know that you can’t have great technology services without amazing people. At MetroStar, we are obsessed with our people and have led a two-decade legacy of building the best and brightest teams. Because we know our future relies on our deep understanding and relentless focus on our people, we live by our mission: A passion for our people. Value for our customers.

If you think you can see yourself delivering our mission and pursuing our goals with us, then check out the job description below!

What you’ll do:

  • Own technical sustainment of Oracle EBS across SDE and PROD environments, including RICE object development, patching, and environment sync
  • Customize and maintain Forms, Reports, OAF pages, and workflow processes for core modules such as Financials, Supply Chain, and Maintenance
  • Design, build, and maintain interfaces (using APIs, SOA/BPEL, Web Services, EDI/B2B) to external systems and third-party tools
  • Optimize PL/SQL code, indexes, and database structures for performance; debug failed concurrent programs and workflow errors
  • Support all data migration needs (FBDI, WebADI, Data Loader), ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with DBAs and infrastructure teams on Exadata tuning, OCI performance, and release coordination
  • Monitor system logs, OEM dashboards, and diagnostics to preempt issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Guide Agile team members in sprint planning, technical story decomposition, and backlog grooming
  • Drive compliance with RMF and STIG requirements; support ATO sustainment and technical documentation

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), including end-to-end technical design, development, and sustainment of large-scale ERP environments
  • Deep expertise in core EBS modules: Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA), Supply Chain (OM, INV, PO), Maintenance, and Audit
  • Mastery of RICECPW components.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle Concurrent Manager, PL/SQL (packages, triggers, tuning), and workflow orchestration
  • Strong infrastructure experience with Oracle Exadata, ZFS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Experience managing synchronized development (SDE) and production (PROD/PSS) environments
  • Familiarity with DoD STIGs, RMF compliance, and DR/COOP sustainment practices
  • Experience with Agile/SAFe frameworks, sustainment Kanban boards, and DevSecOps pipelines

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
