We’re looking for a Sr. Product Scientist to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Product Science team, you will be adjusting the roadmap for Snap products by defining, prioritizing, building, and delivering user insights and features to drive product strategy. Working from our headquarters in Los Angeles, you’ll collaborate closely with the Engineering, Data Science, Product Managers and Product Design teams to collect and analyse data, and define and deliver insight about solutions for boosting growth, performance and engagement of the Snap products.
What you’ll do:
Provide complex insights to Software Engineering, Product Managers, Product Design teams and Product Leads about usable and scalable solutions for boosting growth of the Snapchat app and engagement of various Snap products. Support other teams with insights implementation.
Collaborate closely with Growth, Product Managers, Engineering, and Product Design teams to hypothesize the growth strategy.
Connect with customers and internal teams to understand the fundamental drivers behind CPV, both in the short and long term perspective, to understand their feature requests and then refine these requests into requirements and an actionable phased delivery plan.
Drive implementation of the best solutions, develop, and distribute best operational practices and frameworks enabling other teams inside Snap to ship solutions driving our CPV better and faster.
Write documentation for insight sign offs by leadership, providing sufficient information about product data findings and potential outcomes for Snap product performances and engagement.
Assist in leveraging product data to become increasingly more knowledgeable about how to improve performance and engagement of our existing products.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A team player who can collaborate and build trust with engineers, product managers, designers, data science and other cross-functional teammates
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to plan, prioritise and manage your workload across multiple projects
Ability to partner with and get buy-in from key stakeholders including executives and C-Suite
Ability to partner with Growth, Revenue, Engineering and R&D teams
Experience defining core strategic goals for a consumer technology or digital entertainment company
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
5+ years in a senior position within product management or quantitative analysis or data science or a related field at a consumer technology company or digital entertainment or a venture capital firm focused on customer technology or digital entertainment.
4+ years in a senior management role at a customer technology company with 30+ reports
Degree in statistics, analytics, mathematics, computer science, or related technical field
A track record of success in product management or data science or a related field role
Fluency in SQL or other big data querying language, experience with data visualization tools (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, Tableau)
Experience in quantitative analysis or data science
Experience with product design or product management
Experience with analytical packages such as SciPy or R
Experience with data pipeline workflow monitoring and scheduling platforms (e.g., Airflow)
Experience with machine learning
