The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. PostgreSQL Database Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing PostgreSQL databases in enterprise or government environments. This role requires a strong background in database architecture, security, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL databases for complex enterprise or government projects
Develop and maintain database architecture, data models, and indexing strategies
Optimize database performance and query efficiency
Implement and manage database security controls, backup systems, and disaster recovery plans
Configure and maintain PostgreSQL replication and partitioning
Work with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions, such as AWS RDS and Azure Database for PostgreSQL
Ensure compliance with STIGs and DoD security hardening requirements
Lead architecture reviews, data governance discussions, and integration efforts with other platforms
Provide expert guidance on PostgreSQL best practices and emerging technologies
Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation
Qualifications:
Required:
Active DoD Security Clearance (Secret or higher) must be obtainable
Must be a US Citizen
Current CompTIA Security+ (CE) certification
7+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in enterprise or government environments
Expert knowledge of database architecture, data modeling, indexing, and query optimization
Proven experience with database security controls, backup and disaster recovery planning
Proficiency in PostgreSQL replication, partitioning, and performance tuning
Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions
Familiarity with STIGs and DoD security hardening requirements
Strong leadership skills for conducting architecture reviews and data governance discussions
Excellent documentation and communication skills
