Sr. Design Engineer

The Sr. Design Engineer leads engineering design efforts across a variety of projects, working both independently and in collaboration with senior engineers. This role involves developing innovative design solutions, expanding technical expertise in new areas, and contributing to complex engineering assignments while delivering high-quality, reliable results.

What You'll Do: 

• Apply your technical expertise to develop high-quality designs that meet project specifications and client requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand project goals and design details.

• Communicate project risks or challenges related to scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

• Partner with Designers and Drafters to produce complete and accurate design packages.

• Contribute to engineering designs through calculations, drawings, and technical analysis.

• Lead design efforts on smaller projects and support complex engineering initiatives.

• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and vendors.

• Help coordinate design tasks and support the development of design team members.

• Maintain quality by following company and client procedures and performing thorough self-reviews.

• Support field activities and other project needs as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university
•  3+ years of relevant work experience in electrical distribution 
•  Knowledge of Computer Aided Design or GIS Design is a plus
•  Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment
