As the Solutions Engineer, you’ll serve as the technical expert partnering with our sales team to understand customer challenges and design data-driven solutions using our full suite of Music, Film/TV, Entertainment and Insights platforms. You’ll lead product demos, architect integrations, and ensure that technical capabilities align seamlessly with customer goals.

This role is perfect for someone who loves data, thrives in cross-functional environments, and enjoys turning complex requirements into elegant, scalable solutions.


Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Discovery

  • Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and uncover customer data challenges.
  • Lead tailored product demos and proof-of-concept (POC) implementations that highlight the value of our platform.
  • Translate business objectives into technical architectures and actionable integration strategies.

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Design and document solution architectures for custom research analysis projects
  • Design or assist in the development of questionnaires to ensure that survey structure aligns with project requirements
  • Provide pricing support and material development for proposals
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to relay customer feedback and influence roadmap priorities.

Customer Success Alignment

  • Support post-sale handoff to Customer Success and Implementation teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Contribute to knowledge bases, technical documentation, and enablement materials.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with trends in the entertainment ecosystem and how day-to-day changes influence the need for market research
  • Represent the technical voice of the customer internally to drive continuous improvement in our platform.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, focus on business, market research methods, and / or advanced analytics a plus

Experience:

    • 3–6 years in a market research role, or experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant
    • Domain expertise in research for entertainment, film/TV, music, and brands strongly preferred
    • Experience with Excel, R, and Google Suite

Skills:

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to calibrate level of detail and simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
    • Strong collaboration mindset and ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
    • Strategic orientation - able to orient to not just the client’s immediate asks but understand the broader value opportunity and goals 

For candidates based in NYC and California: Our base salary range for this position is $113,000 - $128,000 plus bonus. We consider your skills and experience, what similar jobs pay at companies of our size, and ensure fair pay among colleagues. Final base salary offer amounts are determined by factors including your experience and expertise. In addition we are proud to offer additional perks and benefits that contribute and complete our total compensation package.  Luminate reserves the right to change our compensation bands at any time.
