Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop, design and maintain mobile applications and reusable components. Participate in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) starting from requirements to production support. Provide solutions with respect to reusable components and rapid prototypes. Define reusable artifacts, frameworks, and reusable assets. Implement unit and user interface tests across all the framework components. Participate in daily defect triage meetings to track and fix defects. Participate in design reviews to architect and develop solutions. Enforce compliance with coding guidelines by code reviews and establishing best coding practices. Use Source code management tools for CI/CD.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer - Applications, Technology Specialist, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Using UIKit to build and maintain custom views, handle view hierarchies, optimizing UI for various devices and orientations, and programmatic UI creation; Swift programming for developing maintainable, reusable components and iOS applications; SwiftUI, including creating custom views, animations, and adopting design trends for a seamless user experience; Xcode IDE for app development, debugging, testing, and performance optimization; Objective-C for maintaining and refactoring legacy code and bridging with Swift; iOS development lifecycle, including app deployment, App Store guidelines, and performance tuning; Android Studio for Android development, debugging, and testing; Kotlin for building, maintaining, and optimizing Android applications; building UI declaratively with Jetpack Compose; XML for designing UI layouts, themes, and styles in Android applications; Gradle for Android build script management, including dependency management, library integration, and APK generation processes; Sourcetree for performing source code management tasks; managing code with GIT, including branching, merging, resolving conflicts, and conducting code reviews in a collaborative environment; Bitbucket for managing branches, creating pull requests, and performing code reviews for collaborative workflows; Python for writing scripts for automation in Jenkins, setting up debug and release rules, and managing Sonar rules for code quality checks; Splunk to analyze production issues, review crash reports, and interpret data to drive app stability improvements; XCTest to write and execute unit, UI, and integration tests for iOS applications, ensuring code quality, reliability, and adherence to iOS testing standards; implementing automated tests for iOS and Android applications using frameworks and tools, as well as executing performance tests to optimize app responsiveness, memory usage, and stability; Agile SDLC methodologies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; managing Jenkins for build automation, PR merges and certification; integrating REST APIs for communication with backend services; Confluence to document processes, architecture, and technical details for team knowledge sharing and collaboration; JIRA to manage tasks, track sprints, and report progress; interpreting Figma designs and applying color schemes, paddings, spacings, and other UI guidelines in development; and Unix terminal commands for source control operations, deployment tasks, and other command-line activities related to mobile development.
