About the role
The Talent team enables our growth, supporting the business globally with a key focus on attracting world-class talent. We partner with our cross-functional teams to drive strategic recruitment initiatives, develop and deliver the employer branding strategy, and build diverse talent pipelines across the globe.

This new position has been created to support a range of exciting and unique projects. As such, you’ll have the opportunity to deep dive into our software engineering, quantum computing and GTM teams. No quantum experience required! Just a keen interest in deep tech and being part of a revolutionary sector.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working closely with our software engineering, quantum computing research and GTM teams, you will manage and drive the end-to-end recruitment process, proactively engaging the market aligned to current and future needs.
  • You’ll also manage the ‘reactive’ recruitment process and become a trusted advisor across the business, providing ongoing hiring guidance, leveraging market insights and current hiring trends.
  • With the support of the Talent Manager, you will also contribute in identifying employer branding and talent related marketing opportunities, as well as participate in various global talent related conferences and events primarily in the US.
  • Other duties within the Employee's skills and experience, or with reasonable training.

Ideally you'll have:

  • A minimum of 6+ years experience in a Talent Acquisition role, ideally within a startup or tech related environment.
  • Experience hiring, building and engaging talent communities across the US market.
  • Experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders with the ability to advise, influence and support at all levels within the company.
  • Whilst we work in a fast paced and constantly evolving environment, we operate with thought and strategic direction. Experience balancing both tactical and delivery is therefore extremely important.
  • A keen interest in emerging and deep tech is a must!

It would be fantastic if you have these skills/experience but not essential:

  • 4+ years experience working at a technology and/or research and development based start-up.
  • Experience targeting software engineering, research and science related skills across global markets.
  • Proficiency with Lever ATS and/or an effective CRM system.

Salary
The base salary for this position is targeted between $125,000 - $175,000 and will ultimately be determined by specific job-related skills, experience, level, location and other contributing factors. Depending on the position offered, this role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, equity and other forms of compensation outside of the targeted range. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
