We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, IT to join Element Fleet Management. As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As the Senior IT Project Manager, you will ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects, aligning with strategic goals of the company. You will be accountable for defining project objectives, managing project resources, and maintaining quality control throughout the project life cycle. The project manager is responsible for the project's successful delivery, on time, budget, and schedule by facilitating communication among stakeholders, mitigating risk, and effectively managing change within the project. Their responsibility extends to fostering a collaborative team environment, tracking progress, providing transparent reporting, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and involved in achieving the project goals.

A Day in the Life   

  • Project Management - Plans and manages the daily activities of the project team.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain the necessary project artefacts in accordance with the project delivery framework.
  • Develop strategic project plans, managing high risk projects ensuring alignment to business objective.
  • Create detailed project schedule and implementation plan.
  • Works with other project managers, vendors and internal team to create project estimation using the standard costing tool (AFE) used at Element.
  • Stakeholder and Relationship Management - Define project governance and communication cadence.
  • Establish project roles and responsibilities along with stakeholder engagement plan. Onboard project resources, manage resource allocation, provide direction and support to the project team.
  • Exercise significant autonomy in decision-making, often influencing organizational strategy and project direction.
  • Financial & Health Reporting - Develop, manage, and report on project budget.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of projects to all impacted stakeholders. Present and review project health status, progress, risk, issues, and decision log.
  • Risk & Compliance - Adhere to project change control process by managing project changes and suitable mitigation measures. Develops and ensures compliance with project management policies including weekly reporting and alignment with stakeholders on project performance metrics
  • Team - Actively participate in the ongoing development of project management fundamentals through contributing to the Project Management Centre of Excellence (PMCoE) by sharing best practices, tools, providing mentorship and support.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related field
  • Professional certification such as Project Management Profession (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) would be an asset.
  • 10+ years of relevant project management experience in the IT sector often including leadership roles
  • Experience leading Data Migration/Data Transformation/Data Analytics, ERP implementation(s) and/or Digital transformation(s) projects would be an asset
  • Expert knowledge in the discipline of project management including related best practices, development lifecycles and supporting tools
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects leveraging frameworks from Waterfall to Agile
  • Proven experience with people resource management and vendor management
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to develop and execute a work plan to ensure all required activities are performed

The hiring base salary range for this position is $99,200 - $136,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
