IT Manager

Santa Clara, CA

About the role:

We are seeking a seasoned IT manager at our Santa Clara office. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping our technology portfolio, bringing expertise and creativity to our solutions

Responsibilities:


  • Administer and secure the Microsoft 365 / Entra ID tenant, including Conditional Access, MFA, licensing, and identity lifecycle management.
  • Manage end-user computing: device provisioning, onboarding/offboarding, endpoint security, and helpdesk operations.
  • Own network and infrastructure across cloud (GCP) and on-premises environments, including EDA compute/runner infrastructure and storage.
  • Maintain and support CI/CD and engineering infrastructure (e.g., GitHub Actions runners) in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Lead IT security operations: incident response (phishing, account compromise), vulnerability management, and policy enforcement.
  • Support compliance and audit readiness (e.g., ISO 27001-aligned controls, customer security assessments), maintaining policies such as the Information Security Policy and Risk Register.
  • Manage vendor relationships, software licensing (including EDA/FlexLM tooling), and IT budget/cost optimization.
  • Provision, manage and troubleshoot on-prem and cloud infrastructure for CAD
  • Document procedures and build runbooks to reduce single-point dependencies.

Qualifications:


  • 7+ years in IT administration with 2+ years in a lead or management capacity, ideally in a tech or semiconductor startup.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Conditional Access, app registrations, SSO).
  • Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL preferred) and experience supporting engineering/EDA or HPC compute environments.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP and/or Azure) and CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in security operations, incident response, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar).
  • Familiarity with scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for operational tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to operate across both hands-on technical and stakeholder-facing contexts.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
