SUMMARY

This role will be part of a fast pace - high performing team tasked with tackling the challenges in designing, building, and setting-up MARA’s data center facilities and major infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling within operational data centers around the globe.

The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a critical role in overseeing and leading engineering scopes from conception to completion. Hired individual will work closely with the Engineering Manager and will play a critical role in leading design and standardization of our datacenters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordinate the best electrical design solution by applying industry knowledge and experience.

2. Act as lead and provide technical electrical direction for multiple sites during engineering, procurement, construction and operations as required.

3. Design electrical systems, circuits, and components in accordance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.

4. Create electrical drawings, dynamic models, coordination studies, arc flash analysis etc. to support projects from concept to As-build.

5. Provide design direction and support for new and existing datacenters.

6. Provide efficiency reviews of and/or value engineering options for existing or vendor designs.

7. Support procurement of long electrical equipment and materials, including creating specifications, technical bid packages, vendor selection, and recommendations.

8. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and associated systems, and participate in troubleshooting any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including contractors, architects, mechanical engineers, architects, and construction managers, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.

10. Stay current on the latest crypto and cooling technologies and mining optimizations.

11. Travel 20-30% of the time primarily within American continent.


QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

· Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on substation design of HV, MV circuits and equipment sizing.

· Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

· In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices, including knowledge of NEC, IEEE , NFPA and life safety codes.

· Strong understanding of datacenter operations, power distribution, and cooling systems.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Understanding of WTGs, solar and BESS is preferable.

· Knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

· Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.

· Proven track record of successfully leading engineering projects from conception to completion.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
