Job Description

About the Team

Experian's Direct to Consumer (D2C) business works toward the mission of bringing financial power to all. D2C operates a dual-sided platform serving over 85 million consumers through a range of products and experiences, while applying data, technology, and partnerships from across the broader Experian ecosystem. To promote our mission, we collaborate with partners to enhance products, expand the reach, and meet customers where they are.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Director of Strategic Growth Partnerships — a creative dealmaker who excels at the intersection of partnerships, monetization, and user growth. You will focus on identifying, structuring, and building partnerships that create revenue from Experian's platform and data ecosystem, and lead new users into Experian experiences through partner collaboration.

You will complement our existing partner development efforts by focusing on partnerships that create new revenue streams and increase user growth through ecosystem collaboration.

Unlike traditional sales roles, you will emphasize building mutually beneficial, ecosystem-driven partnerships that create shared growth — whether through distribution, cross-promotion, affiliate models, joint offerings, or embedded solutions.

You will report to the Vice President, D2C Revenue Strategy and Operations. This position will work remote, or hybrid based on proximity to an Experian office.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and cultivate new strategic partners with large customer bases or complementary capabilities to guide Experian user acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Lead the end-to-end deal process — from prospecting and opportunity development through negotiation and contract execution.
  • Structure creative commercial models (e.g., revenue-share, affiliate, lead-generation, licensing, or data exchange).
  • Collaborate with our teams across Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to launch and scale partnerships.
  • Develop relationships with executive and operational teams within partner organizations to ensure joint success and sustained growth.
  • Track performance metrics, improve outcomes, and identify new opportunities for mutual growth.
  • Represent Experian externally as a trusted partner and expert in the financial ecosystem.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development-focused alliances — within FinTech, digital platforms, or consumer technology.
  • Experience structuring and closing complex partnerships that drove measurable revenue or user growth.
  • Experience with digital acquisition, marketing funnels, and consumer engagement strategies.
  • Comfort working in a matrixed environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30–40%.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
