OVERVIEW:

The Senior Copywriter is accountable for the overall voice of the DSG brand as defined by the Brand team. They partner with designers & all levels management as well as their clients to craft effective messaging in several marketing and advertising vehicles to inspire the customer. Creative Writers in conjunction with the Manager of Creative & design, drives campaigns and related projects from conceptualization to rollout, ensuring all communications adhere to the approved Brand vision. They collaborate with the design team to address business goals in the development of editorial and promotional messaging for various individual projects including local and national advertising, email, direct mail, tabs, catalog, in store signing.   

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Design, Develop, and Produce Creative Collateral:

  • Develops engaging, best-in-class copy and high-level messaging across channels.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and best practices leader (i.e. subject lines, vendor funded, ecomm).

Align Creative Development to Overall Marketing Strategy:

  • Key player in driving copy strategy in individual campaigns
  • Partners with Copy Lead to drive testing strategies and campaigns to optimize copy and ensure consistent brand voice.
  • Partners with Copy Lead to drive campaign messaging from concept to rollout, ensuring all copy is consistent and adheres to established brand voice.

Cross Functional Partnerships:

  • Takes lead in cross-functional partnerships (design, marketing planning, etc.) and presenting creative to management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree

List Degree Type: Journalism, English or Communications

Level of Experience

5 - 7 Years

List Specific Areas of Experience

Experience in SEO copywriting, online content creation, native advertising or sponsored content preferred

Targeted Pay Range: $67,100.00 - $109,000.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
