About the RoleAs a Tax Senior Consultant, you will work with Gap’s International Tax Team and draw on experience in accounting and taxation to provide tax related support for Gap’s global business. You will identify basic, and some complex, tax issues and provide tax analysis and recommendations for Gap’s entities including supporting transfer pricing areas.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Analyst, International Tax to join our small, collaborative quantitative analysis team. Reporting to the International Tax team, you will partner closely with tax planning, compliance, provision, and regional teams to deliver high-quality analytical and technical support on a variety of projects. The ideal candidate excels at building and managing complex models, demonstrates strong technical and analytical skills, and has excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.What You'll Do
  • Preparing and reviewing work papers, allocations, for US international tax reporting and international corporations, branches and partnerships.

  • Researching and preparing materials for consulting projects related to tax planning considerations, such as structure reports, transaction step plans and memoranda.

  • Assisting with developing complex tax projection calculations and models to analyze tax structuring alternatives and planning opportunities.

  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation to substantiate transfer pricing positions and transfer pricing policy.

  • Coordinate across the business globally and partner with key finance and operational contacts.

  • Assist with transfer pricing aspects of tax authority queries or formal audits.

Who You Are

Ability to perform job responsibilities within a San Francisco based on-site work model.

  • 1-4 years experience providing tax planning and/or compliance services, preferably with a focus on international taxation and or transfer pricing.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field

Preferred:

  • Previous Big 4 experience

  • CPA, law degree and / or Master’s degree in taxation

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Solid research skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with US international tax issues, including foreign tax credits, GILTI, FDII, BEAT etc.

  • Advanced Excel, OneSource, Alteryx, Power BI.

  • Basic understanding with transfer pricing concepts
