About Patch

You hear it all the time — our healthcare system is broken. But, if you’re like most people, this “brokenness” is more about the nightmare of dealing with insurance, co-pays, and collections than the actual quality of care one receives. HMO/PPO/HSA/FSA/HRA/EPO… honestly, until we built this company, we had no idea what any of these even meant! If you’re like us, you just want to know how much you are covered for, that your insurance is billed correctly and then pay your doctor for their time.

We believe that healthcare should be simple to use and easy to understand, because going to the doctor is stressful enough. We created Patch after personal experiences left us feeling completely helpless and frustrated by the difficult process to access the insurance benefits we were entitled to. We didn’t want others to feel that same pain and frustration.

Our mission is to make healthcare easy to pay for. We’ve been proving out our product, starting with the vision care market, but with thousands of providers already using our system, we’re ready to expand to the rest of the healthcare ecosystem. We’re going to make insurance as easy as using your Visa card. With a fresh Series A round, we’re looking for A+ players who want to make a lasting impact on the world. 

We are looking for a true sales leader that's passionate about healthcare and making it better, with the skill to grow our team, refine our sales process and make core strategic decisions that will shape the way our company operates. You'll work directly with the CEO day-to-day in helping us crush new markets and leverage our existing client base to expand our breadth of reach.

You’ll help us define and refine our sales strategy, mentor and coach new/existing reps, build-out and maintain our present processes and recruit an all-star next wave of talent. If you can help us close some of the monster deals we have in the pipeline… even better.

Our Ideal Candidate MUST Have

  • A decade of experience managing and growing an SMB sales team. This includes holding AE’s and other team members responsible, mentoring and teaching, holding one on one’s, setting quota and incentive structuring. 
  • Experience building and managing the sales and marketing tech stack - CRM for the sales team (we use Salesforce), and other services such as Outreach, Pardot, Asana, Slack etc.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, curious, and interested in experimenting with new techniques to improve our sales process. This role is a crucial part of our growth plans in going from approximately 1,000 SMB clients to 10,000+ SMB clients over the next several years. This is not a cookie-cutter position and will require real mental horsepower as we best position ourselves for long-term value creation. The right candidate will get excited by the prospect of deep engagement in this strategic process.
  • Experience building a sales process. You've built inbound and outbound sales models and tactics for success. We’ll depend on you to identify challenges and bring us solutions. You will be comfortable working with marketing to help build strategies for success. Use of data to inform processes is crucial. 
  • Experience with SaaS sold into SMBs.
  • Startup experience.
  • Helped scale sales through $25M ARR and beyond.
  • Leadership - Must take accountability for actions and lead by example.
