FabFitFun is looking for a well-established VP, Brand Partnerships with strong market experience and brand network to take our lifestyle membership business to the next level. We need a forward-thinker who isn’t afraid to challenge industry standards to lead the execution of the merchandising strategy and brand relationships across FabFitFun’s beauty, fashion, fitness, home, lifestyle and tech divisions. Your Future:
- Develop and execute a long-range merchandising plan and vision to further evolve our value proposition opportunities for our members and brand partners
- Steer the merchandising strategy to impact and drive forward overall company vision
- Guide the Brand Partnerships team to develop sourcing and buying strategies that continually improve our product pipeline across all categories and vendor base
- Use trends and knowledge about competitive landscape to develop merchandising roadmap
- Lead, coach and develop the Merchandising team to ensure effective day to day execution, and actively manage career development and growth
- Build succession planning for all levels to plan for future talent needs
- Develop and maintain the merchandising calendar, identifying key milestone dates around the seasonality of our business
- Scale processes and systems to support cross departmental collaboration including Marketing (Customer Acquisition, Consumer Insights, Editorial), Finance, Legal, and Operations.
- Develop deep knowledge of the FFF membership and community and make recommendations for new products and initiatives based on previous and current selling performance
- Identify and manage key merchandising KPIs for success
- Track progress to inventory targets and adjust plans as needed
Your Past:
- Executive-level merchandising strategy, product selection and buying experience with proven success in building and coaching teams and individuals
- Cross-category (beauty, fashion, home, fitness, lifestyle) merchandising background preferably within an e-commerce and subscription-based business model
- Relationships and access to brand merchant decision-makers, including access to CMOs and CEOs, to generate and secure FFF box participation
- Experience analyzing markets, trends, and competition, anticipating and identifying opportunities and developing strategic insights focusing on furthering the value proposition of a consumer brand
- Excellent business judgment and quantitative skills with advanced knowledge of pricing and purchasing power
- Clear demonstration of internal cross-functional partnership and collaboration
- Passionate about consumer insights and how the data affects merchandising and customer experience
- Understand demand planning and how merchandising can drive revenue, margin and profitability
- Knowledge of computer and web technology platforms used for e-commerce
- Strong people management and team leadership required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field - MBA preferred
