About the Healthcare Business Development Lead at Headspace:

Headspace is looking for a Healthcare Business Development Lead. Headspace is already actively used and recommended by healthcare professionals and patients, and we’re looking for a motivated and accomplished business development professional to help enhance Headspace’s position within the healthcare ecosystem. Reporting to the VP/GM of Headspace Health this individual will be in charge of building and managing strategic relationships within the healthcare space. 

Healthcare is a critical part of our business and is an important access point allowing our product to get into the hands of patients, providers, and caregivers. You will also work closely with other team members including Science, User Research, Growth, and the Product team.

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

  • Building and managing existing key partnerships with healthcare organizations
  • Help prioritize health-related leads, close deals, and plan partnership/implementation plans
  • Managing inbound and outbound communications for the health team
  • Research potential partnerships and provide background for pitches and client meetings 
  • Understand relevant industry players and trends through continued research
  • Work closely with BD & Partnerships team to align on key partnerships across Headspace
  • Identify evidence generation opportunities with health partners and help to cultivate, design, and execute evidence generating health partnerships
  • Contribute to the development and sharing of best practices for partnership management and user success within Headspace team
  • Negotiate partnership terms and help structure contracts that maximize the relationship and consider future growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners including, Design, Product, Content, Science, and Engineering teams to ensure a coordinated and deliberate approach toward launching complex projects

What you’ve accomplished:

  • 5-7+ years experience in B2B Business Development, building partnerships within the healthcare industry, required
  • Flexible, enjoys building process and thrives in a start-up environment
  • Hyper detail-oriented, and have exemplary time management and organizational skills
  • Dynamic and able to adjust course without breaking a sweat
  • Articulate, confident communicator and even better listener
  • Collaborative. You have strong interpersonal skills and are able to build relationships
  • Exemplary discretionary skills and demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with confidential dialogs and information
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience working within healthcare is a requirement

We're located in the heart of Santa Monica on Michigan + Cloverfield, just off the 10 freeway. Bergamont train station is right behind our office.
