Sales Operations Analyst

Overview:

The Sales Operations team is a force multiplier for Weedmaps’ Revenue Organization. The Sales Operations team drives operational excellence, influences sales and customer success strategy, partners inside and outside the revenue function, and executes initiatives to maximum impact. 

As a Sales Ops Analyst at Weedmaps, you'll be a go to expert on Salesforce reporting for the team. Helping build and maintain advanced dashboards (that join and link across objects and databases) and supporting others in navigating Salesforce reporting. Your skills at problem solving will help us create scalable solutions for management and frontline employees. Over time you'll evolve from analysis, to insight to solutions.

Sales Operations Function Role:

  • Be a force multiplier within the Revenue Organization (including Sales, Customer Success and related support functions) by driving operational excellence.  This will be achieved through spreading best practices and driving consistency manifested in a cohesive system with:
    • Clearly defined sales roles
    • Useful playbooks for reps and managers
    • Strong pitches & collateral 
    • Robust training programs
    • Effective Salesforce dashboards and analysis
  • Partner with Revenue leadership (Territory Directors & Managers) to decide strategic and tactical priorities for Territories.  Sales Ops will support through rigorous analysis and structuring the decision making process. Examples of strategic decisions may include: 
    • Allocating resources to new vs existing business and across markets
    • Defining monetization timelines and structure for new markets
    • Selecting key initiatives to improve rep effectiveness
  • Spearhead execution of sales strategy through:
    • Supporting Revenue Org Design
    • Owning process improvement initiatives
    • Designing dashboards
    • Building business cases for initiatives and resource requests
    • Managing external vendors
    • Analyzing Salesforce data and improving the functioning of Salesforce and related tools
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners (including but not limited to Product, Marketing, Finance, Government Relations) to ensure short term and long term alignment.  Examples of successful collaborations include:
    • Providing cohesive actionable feedback on Sales Product Roadmap
    • Supporting change management of new product feature rollouts
    • Translating Supply Quality priorities from Marketing into areas of focus for teams
    • Acting as voice of frontline reps
    • Prioritizing areas for investment and focus

The impact you'll make:

  • Building and maintaining Salesforce dashboards that drive insight to add value for the business
  • Modeling data to lead to insights for sales tactics, strategy, and improvement opportunities
  • Automating data flows to increase efficiency for self and others on the team
  • Effectively communicating with team members
  • Providing responsive customer service to sales managers and representatives; beginning to evolve from pure responsive to more proactive and strategic
  • Supporting effective adoption of Salesforce through trainings, documentation and responsive customer service
  • Leading process improvement efforts (both within Salesforce and broader to include sales operations) with support of leadership
  • Proactively managing workflow with clear transparency
  • Maintaining strong data hygiene within Salesforce through ensuring field accuracy, building custom fields and drop-downs, and auditing data to ensure quality
  • Effectively administering Salesforce through user provisioning, developing custom reports, and managing dashboards
  • As needed, managing connections and ensuring data linkages work in Salesforce
  • Beginning to learn project management

What you've accomplished:

  • BS / BA Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales enablement, sales operations, business operations, business development
  • Comfort with, and ability to operate at an aggressive, accelerated, iterative pace in a dynamic environment
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce, data modeling and data analysis
  • Excellent communication, project and time management, writing and presentation skills with the ability to confidently interact with senior management

Pluses:

  • 3+ years of experience working in the advertising industry or in sales organizations
  • Experience with financial modeling 
  • Experience with SQL/relational databases, and reporting tools like Tableau
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Office Suite (Sheets, Slides)
  • Extreme attention to detail (minimizing defects)
  • Ability to see the insights beyond the numbers to drive sound decision making
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
  • Ability to flex between day-to-day operations and broader strategic initiatives
  • Enjoy building out structure and process while adapting it to an ever changing dynamic environment
