The Role

The Director, Sales Development is a self-starter who enjoys helping create new revenue streams and building new partnerships. This role requires the willingness to tackle tough problems and a passion to create new solutions and Sales opportunities. As part of an early growth stage team, this is an opportunity to come in and build out a long-term SDR program from start to finish, where you are the driving force and report directly to the SVP of Marketing.

As a Director, Sales Development, you will lead a team of SDRs responsible for building a strong pipeline of Enterprise Sales prospects. If you are looking for a leadership opportunity in a fast-paced, supportive environment and are an experienced SDR or Sales Team Lead, this role is for you. As a manager, you will be able to expand upon our Sales Development processes, assist in the hiring of additional SDRs, and develop a team of future Sales Leads. 

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead a team of Sales Development Representatives by promoting positive communication, supporting learning and development efforts, and facilitating team bonding
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals by focusing on new customer acquisition and pipeline growth
  • Track team metrics and report data to Executive Leadership on a regular basis
  • Develop and refine our Sales Development and Customer Engagement processes
  • Conduct review sessions to evaluate your team’s strategy, progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to ensure the team is set up to exceed company KPIs
  • Provide constructive feedback to your team members while assisting them in developing a career growth planEvaluate feedback and implement strategies to improve our technology and processes, and demonstrate results using data and analytics
  • Develop training plans for continuous development of your team’s Sales skills and product knowledge
  • Ensure your team is achieving KPIs for assigned accounts on a quarterly basis
  • Implement strategies that support overall Sales/company-wide priorities and key initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2+ years of experience as a Manager of Sales Development or in a Sales team leadership role within the SaaS industry
  • 1+ years of experience as a Sales Development Representative
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in order to achieve Marketing and Revenue goals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Passionate learner with the ability to think critically regarding procedures/products and effectively communicate across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to adapt quickly and understand what engages an audience, regardless of the vertical
  • Leadership, organizational planning, and project management skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration across both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A deep understanding of our clients and their needs, in addition to what motivates them
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Excellent track record working in an agile environment and rapidly changing industry
