Reporting to the SVP of SMB, the Sales and Account Management Trainer position is responsible for supporting our sales and account management teams with world-class training. Candidates for this role will be the subject matter expert in all areas of sales and account management training. This includes developing new training techniques to support the development and growth of our teams.


The Sales and Account Management Trainer role will require strong collaboration with sales and account management leadership to develop a training program to assist the sellers and account managers to meet or exceed company goals. The Sales and Account Manager Trainer is expected to conduct skills gap analysis, prepare learning materials and evaluate results after each training session.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares new hires by conducting orientation; developing individual coaching plans; providing resources and assistance; scheduling orientation with all new hires
  • Analyze day to day needs for training of the sales and account management teams
  • Create training curriculum and corresponding materials
  • Conduct training sessions for new and current sales reps and account managers
  • Develop new approaches and techniques for making improvements in training programs
  • Collect feedback from trainees and identify process improvements 
  • Measure the impact of training sessions and circulums to identify the tangible impact of training
  • Onboard new sales reps and account managers 
  • Improves training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; making support readily available; integrating support with routine job functions.
  • Determines training needs by shadowing sales representatives and account managers; observing sales encounters; studying sales results reports; conferring with managers.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of the sales process and its best practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design effective sales training programs.
  • Ability to measure an employee's performance.
  • Ability to motivate others to improve their skills.
  • Outstanding coaching skills.
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Trainer or similar role
  • Experience in a sales position is a plus
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning
  • Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms
  • Additional certifications in training are a plus
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Great interpersonal and organizational skills.
