Job Description: Media Sales Account Executive
We're looking for eager sellers who are hungry to build the company alongside us -- and take advantage of our uncapped commission.
Here at Heartbeat, we sell both Enterprise-level Media deals and Self-Serve deals across our technology platform. The Media Sales team focuses on large brand and agency clients. The Enterprise Sales Account Executive (AE) will oversee all facets of the sales cycle—but mostly, we're looking for an expert closer who can get in the room with high level marketing execs and wow them with our tech platform.
The AE will be reaching out to brands to learn more about their marketing needs and pain points, develop relationships and educate them about how Heartbeat can activate their consumers as brand advocates at scale.
What We’re Looking For:
BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a history of out-performing quotas
1+ years of demonstrated success selling to high-tier clients, ideally brands or agencies
Ability to manage and nurture long-term agency relationships and enterprise-level deals
Self-starter attitude; you thrive in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment and are excited by change
Experience managing inbound leads, sourcing leads, and closing
Strong written/verbal communication skills
You love networking and attending events, representing our business to the community
Interest in social media (marketing)
High-level understanding of marketing, industry trends - you can "talk the talk" with CMOs and other marketers
Social/influencer or adtech sales experience is a big plus
Experience with CRM and sales tools systems (We use HubSpot, not Salesforce, but you can learn it quickly if you've used either)
A day in the life of an Account Executive at Heartbeat:
Kick off the week with an all-sales team meeting to review top opportunities and pipeline
Pop downstairs to grab a coffee at one of the cafes along the beach before your next meeting.
Spend the day meeting with prospects (via phone, but mostly in-person) convicting them that Heartbeat is a must for their business
Manage inbound leads and reach out to prospects between meetings
Hop on a call with your newest client and your Customer Success Manager + Campaign Strategist to transition your latest win to your team, who will manage the client relationship from there
- All-company meeting to discuss the company’s direction, business strategy and share feedback from your latest campaign
- Check in on your existing clients, maybe take them out to drinks or tea to further the relationship

This role will be a combination of base salary and commission, and you can expect to earn over $125k/year if you’re hitting your goals. Right now we are beating our goals each month.
Compensation:
Commission + salary ($50-$60k base + commission, $125k+ OTE)
