Manager, US Scaled Sales at Snap Inc.
The Scaled Sales vertical focuses on building advertiser partnerships with small and mid-size businesses throughout the US. This sector is an ever growing and evolving one, and Snap believes it represents a tremendous opportunity to share such businesses with the next generation of consumers. As a Manager for the Scaled Sales team, you will manage a national team of sales representatives in developing advertising partnerships and campaigns with small and midsize businesses; while also developing creative go-to market strategies to scale the long- tail advertising ecosystem.
The ideal candidate is a natural leader and possesses the ability to guide, mentor, and teach their teams. You are comfortable with using analytical tools to synthesize insights from data on team productivity or auction dynamics. Strong client-facing skills and principles are critical; especially the ability to tell a story that proves the value of partnering with Snap. Sales leaders in this vertical should be deeply curious about new business models and quickly develop industry expertise, demonstrate comfort with ambiguity and possess expert problem-solving skills to remove barriers and accelerate growth.
What you'll do:
Have command of and be responsible for the rapid growth of your business; be able to inform client teams on macro trends in that industry and how they may influence their execution on Snap
Manage a national team of sales representatives
Drive motivation and accountability to consistently achieve revenue quotas and KPIs, with a focus on measuring and constantly improving seller productivity (e.g., number of pitches per week, revenue per deal, growth in active accounts)
Develop a go-to-market strategy for your vertical(s) including product playbook, sales narrative, and customer prioritization, working in partnership with Enterprise and Emerging vertical leads and cross-functional partners
Define, execute, and deliver KPI-driven measurement strategies
Assist sales leadership with determining individual quotas and account lists and delivering to the individual contributors on your team
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or another related area of study
Minimum of 4+ years of digital media sales experience
Minimum of 2 years of digital media sales management experience
2+ years of experience managing a team
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to train and coach team members on hard and soft skills, technical product knowledge, data analysis, and navigating analytical tools
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
Deep understanding of how to communicate with different personality types
Preexisting relationships with brand or performance marketers and advertising agencies relevant to the business
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management (internally and externally)
Can facilitate C-level meetings with multiple stakeholders
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
4+ years experience in digital media space
