As government partnerships coordinator you will work with the team develop public policy that supports the Bird business. You will research policy positions of government officials and develop strategies for enacting smart regulations for shared mobility services. You will brief team members for meetings with elected officials and regulators, and engage in policy development with outside agencies and supporters. You will engage with our vibrant community to leverage their support in pursuing favorable regulatory structures.

What You'll Do:

  • The GP Coordinator works across the department facilitating the expansion to new markets while supporting the Government Partnerships business in our existing cities
  • The candidate will support GP managers and the Chief Legal Officer in developing and keeping government partnerships strategy on track, keeping the team organized and responding to new demands as necessary
  • The right candidate will provide support for GP Directors overseeing GP efforts in multiple cities. They will have a critical role in helping the department to stay responsive to new issues as they arise, and keeping ongoing priorities moving forward
  • Drafting and editing letters, infographics, presentations, and reports for strategic government outreach and communications projects
  • Identify, track and work on issues related to state and/or local. government regulations, laws, and legislation

What You'll Need:

  • BA required
  • 2-5 years work experience in government, political or management consulting, or in-house GP
  • Self-starter, flexible, able to run with assigned tasks
  • Understanding of state and local government
  • Strong organizational, researching and writing skills
  • Thorough attention to detail when analyzing regulatory language and parameters
  • Understanding or experience related to mobility, sustainability, city operations preferred
  • Ability to be highly responsive and willing to work flexible hours. Bird acts quickly and being about to adapt to changing internal and external conditions is extremely important
  • Likewise, an ability to manage shifting assignments and multiple projects at the same time is a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well in teams, but also independently and proactively as required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
