What You’ll Do:
As the Director of Sales Operations you will be the “right hand person" to the CRO. The DSO is responsible for assisting and driving operational efficiencies across marketing, sales, operations and various other departments. This role is both tactical and strategic from a short term execution and mid/long term planning. The DSO is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization. Sales Operations supports a company's sales team by creating, evaluating, and optimising data sets and sales effectiveness to shorten sales cycles, increase profitability and guide the team to selling more effectively. Strong data analytical skills across multiple systems (SFDC, Marketo, Zendesk, etc..), data warehouses and any legacy internal systems. Ideally the candidate will have intellectual curiosity on how to automate, streamline and scale all processes related to the GTM team. 

  • Own and drive the forecast process (weekly, monthly, quarterly and regular cleansing/hygiene).
  • Build, drive and align sales compensation plans that achieve the company goals.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting on customer attributes, profitability and publish reports to manage each customer. 
  • Drive reporting requirements and issuance to not only the sales team, but also broader audiences including finance, operations, marketing, and the executive committee.
  • Manage and maintain the weekly Deal Desk process and publish weekly reports.
  • Participate monthly on the Pricing Team to publish monthly approved Drayage and OTR pricing.
  • Manage the onboarding and initial phase of getting the customer onto clean paper and hand off to AMs/Ops.
  • Review, suggest, implement and manage tools and job aids needed for sales team members success.
  • Manage the Sales Ops team to continuously improve the sales team productivity, seamless use of SFDC and streamline processes for rapid adoption.
  • Ownership over the procurement, configuration, and deployment of all systems within the sales technology stack.
  • Build and collaborate with various departments on the fluid and scalable training tactics and programs to raise the skill set of the sales organization. 


What you will have:

  • Deep expertise on sales automation and CRM systems is mandatory for this role, specifically Salesforce.com. Understanding how systems work is required to dig into operational issues and answer tough questions. 
  • The DSO will not only be analytical, but also translate a wide variety of data sources and numbers into actionable deliverables and presentations.
  • Much of the analytical work will be performed in Microsoft Office/Excel or G Suite. The ideal candidate will be confident in themselves and comfortable presenting their findings to the executive team or board of directors. 
  • The DSO is not just an analytical guru, but, has strong business acumen, can present to a group, manage a team and solve complex problems.
  • Must have Project Management and logistics experience.

  • Must be Six Sigma Certified.

  • DSO should have 5-7 years of relevant business experience in sales. Demonstrated experience improving sales productivity and results is critical.
