DAS Sales Engineer

The DAS Sales Engineer will assist the business development and operations teams to qualify, manage, and close sales opportunities during the venue acquisition, carrier acquisition, and operations phases of the DAS lifecycle process. Boingo invests in the latest equipment and technology and has a varied and healthy pipeline of projects and solutions to work on.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business needs and requirements in conjunction with the Business Development (BD) team to determine technical requirements for project work.
  • Convey requirements to the client and provide insight into the technical options available for designing leading-edge solutions for a wide variety of technologies.
  • Articulate and demonstrate solutions, influence customer's technical requirements, and position solutions relative to competition.
  • Work with engineers throughout the proposal process to ensure the spec sheets, SOW’s and proposals consistently contain all relevant information.
  • Report on potential client needs and emerging marketplace trends for solution and service development considerations
  • Play the important role of SME in client sales presentations.  You’ll support our successful sales team, and be supported by our top-notch marketing team  
  • Determine scope and develop proposals with Sales, Design Engineers, and Operations teams
  • Identify technical requirements, client infrastructure, solution configuration, diagrams and plan phases of the sales cycle
  • Provide the implementation team with all necessary documentation for the successful completion of the project
  • Respond to technical RFI/RFP questions.
  • Deliver online and on site product demonstrations
  • Travel, as needed, to industry events, prospect and partner sites
  • Provide on-site support, handling technical presentations at trade shows and conferences; and ensuring proactive communications with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Boingo supports our team members in maintaining their in-depth technical and industry knowledge through ongoing training, seminars and certifications.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Minimum 3 years as a DAS Sales Engineer or RF engineering experience, and a proven record of success.
  • 3 years’ experience developing presentations and status reports using MS Word, Excel, Projects, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Mail, and Google Documents
  • Familiar with iBWave Design Tool and Wireless Data Collection Tool
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher preferred.
