As the Channel Strategist, you'll be responsible for developing the distribution strategy for League of Legends’ publishing initiatives. You will collaborate with brand managers to define the best way to put our get our campaigns and content out across our channels to drive the business results that the brand managers are shooting for.

You’re the content shepherd - you live for using data-informed rationale to figure out the right places to put content to improve results while also prioritizing the player-experience. Your strategy will act as the guiding light that will enable regional teams to effectively utilize their local channels, ensuring that every publishing person is marching toward the same goal.

Responsibilities

  • You will work on the Planning Team to develop distribution strategies for various LoL publishing teams
  • You will use data to inform every recommendation in relation to activating League channels.
  • You will provide the strategic mentorship to regional teams in order to help activate content in a way that is most appropriate for their regions
  • You will collaborate with regional teams from around the world to understand how channels are best used in that locale, then add your own strategic special-sauce to it to ensure every channel is working towards a better future for League.
  • You will ensure that our publishing campaigns are always putting the player-experience first. You’ll never do anything that’s going to be a poor player experience. You’ll know how to find the balance between adding value for the player and for Riot.
  • You will provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise across the organization. You will dedicatedly share your expertise with teams at Riot, both centrally regionally to ensure that standard methodologies are maintained across all League channels.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing distribution campaigns for businesses across verticals, across owned, earned and paid digital channels.
  • A track record of moving projects forward with minimal oversight
  • Involvement in campaign measurement as it relates to tracking the incremental business-objectives achieved
  • A comprehensive understanding of digital performance and paid media metrics and terminology
  • A diverse range of campaign experience across objectives ranging from brand-focused to direct-response-focused
  • Experience working in content-planning and management tools
  • An understanding of and experience with digital paid-media tools and platforms (both native-platform and 3rd party)
