As our Business Development team grows, we’re looking for a Business Development Coordinator to help manage our client pipeline, process inbound leads, and set our BD team up for success.
Our ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in a business development or sales role in either an agency setting or with a similar professional services company.
Responsibilities
- Actively participating and contributing to BD meetings and calls
- Frequently communicating with and engaging with a set of prospect and client relationships through emails, calls, and meetings to move deals forward
- Helping the business development and delivery teams prep for meetings and following up with additional materials
- Drafting and writing project proposals and responding to RFPs
- Solutioning with Delivery Team to create project plans and manage scoping tasks
- Researching our clients, competitors and our target markets
- Making informed decisions about our sales strategy to help drive our business development goals
- Designing processes to equip Sidebench’s BD team with the necessary tools to execute on our sales strategy
- Leading internal meetings and creating proper agendas to maximize time and efficiency during meetings
- Maintaining our CRM with current lead, contact, and deal information
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development or account management
- High emotional intelligence and an ability to be very “politely persistent”
- Quick learner with a natural tendency to ask intelligent questions with expertise and/or valuable content embedded in each prospect and client communication
- Genuine interest in technology and business and the desire to learn more about B2B marketing
- The ability to work independently and go above and beyond the original scope of their tasks
- Strong research and analytical skills and problem solving ability
- Extreme attention to detail and the ability to properly draft and edit copy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A positive attitude and remains responsive, enthusiastic, adaptable, and incredibly pro-active
- Ability to produce detailed and well-organized documentation (have a knack for effectively summarizing concepts, thoughts, and research)
- Strong CRM experience or experience with similar task management platforms
