Opportunity
Route is looking for a proven and motivated Agency Partnerships Manager who has experience developing, managing and driving successful agency partnerships. As an APM, you will seek opportunities with agency and syndication partners to further extend Route's reach and build commercial relationships to achieve revenue goals. You will closely work with experienced sales team leaders to nurture our current partnerships as well as recruiting new partnerships with E-Commerce agencies.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, enable and drive the business development and field sales relationships with leading system integrators & marketing agencies to create new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies with new and existing partners. Responsibilities include working with and communicating across multiple team functions within Route and within partner organizations.
- Work with the partners to develop success metrics, including specific KPIs that drive merchant adoption and revenue growth for both Route and the partner.
- Actively manage opportunity pipeline against sales objectives/metrics to exceed quarterly and annual targets.
- Work closely with the Partner Marketing team to design and implement communications activities, ensuring high retention of acquired merchants.
- Ensure we’re valued as a “top tier” partner to our agencies, that Route is seen as providing a genuine value-add and is part of their recommended tech stack.
Qualifications
- A strong background in eCommerce and/or strategic partnerships
- 2+ years partner sales/business development experience working with leading marketing technology agencies, consultancies and system integrators
- Excellent and professional communication skills and ability to be diplomatic in difficult or stressful situations
- Good negotiation skills to be comfortable telling partners "no" when necessary but also advocate internally for the partner
- Strong critical thinking skills and a creative approach to penetrating new accounts and to address issues with out-of-the-box solutions
- Knowledge of B2B demand generation marketing, marketing technology ecosystems and content marketing
- Strong existing relationships with agencies and the ability to hit the ground running
- Motivated, self-starter, team player; ability to work in a high energy sales environment
- Proficiency in working with forecasts, revenue models, and other business calculations
- Financially motivated and can immediately recognize a world-class opportunity
- Ability to travel domestically up to 20%
