What You’ll Do: 

HG Insights Sales Development Representatives (SDR) are vital to our business, creating interest in our solutions through proactive outbound prospecting activities. In this role, you will help drive new revenue for the company by qualifying and coordinating sales meetings for Account Executives across all channels.  As an SDR you will work within our sales group to generate meetings that leads to opportunities within major enterprise clients and new and prospective customers.

Reporting to the Sales Development Manager, this position has strong growth potential as we continue to grow the sales org and is perfect for someone looking to grow their sales career within a fast-paced startup. If you are personally sales driven and have a proven track record of success, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Initiating contact with existing or potential customers through outreach efforts such as cold-calling, emails, social networking, digital events and more.
  • Creating relationships with customers and prospects to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales
  • Qualify prospects through cold calls to secure interest and route them through to the correct account executive
  • Nurture prospects that have expressed interest until they are ready to participate in a discovery call
  • Manage all leads through conversion including call tracking and rescheduling meetings when needed.
  • Collaborating with sales executives to ensure the company's goals and targets are met
  • Exceed personal weekly and monthly performance targets

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of sales or marketing experience 
  • Successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Proficiency with CRM and opportunity management systems, preferably
  • Experience in effectively leveraging sales and sales development tools such as,
  • LinkedIn, and contact provider integrations
  • Exceptional level of self-motivation and, tenacity
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a dynamic team remotely.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to take both analytical and creative approaches to solve problems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize while multitasking
  • Ability to work through change and navigate ambiguity in a fast paced environment
  • High social intelligence with a natural inclination to win

HG Insights uses local, national, and industry-specific survey data to determine pay for positions. We strive to make competitive offers that allow new employees room for future growth. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate. All offers are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal factors. The annual on-target earnings ($21.63 per hour + variable commission earned) for the Sales Development Representative position are anticipated to be up to $85,000, but you are not capped at 100% of your commissions. There is an unlimited cap. The Talent Acquisition team will communicate all compensation components. 


Our Santa Barbara office is open! This role is an in-office position only. We are following all local and state guidelines while in office. We have two offices, Santa Barbara and London. Our SB office is located near the Funk Zone and two blocks from the beach. Our London office is in the lively Shoreditch Neighborhood. We also have 50% of our employees in remote locations throughout the globe!
