About the role:

The RGM Manager is a key commercial leader responsible for delivering Diageo’s US Spirits pricing and profitability agenda. This role drives market-level execution by combining internal strategy with an external lens—incorporating consumer trends, competitive activity, and customer dynamics. With a deep focus on data and analytics, the RGM Manager transforms insight into action to fuel sustainable growth across the business.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Market-Level Pricing Strategy: Execute consumer- and customer-relevant pricing plans that are aligned to Diageo’s national direction and rooted in market realities.

  • Use Data to Drive Sustainable Growth: Analyze syndicated, retail, and internal data to uncover opportunities that optimize revenue growth and long-term brand health.

  • Apply an External Lens: Monitor competitive pricing and channel trends to guide decision-making and maintain commercial relevance in fast-changing environments.

  • Own Financial Performance: Handle price changes, promotional plans, and trade spend budgets to deliver price/mix/margin targets.

  • Enable Executional Excellence: Partner with distributors to drive accountability, facilitate monthly financial reviews, and ensure proper deployment of gap-close and investment levers.

  • Champion Tools & Systems: Maintain pricing systems (Anaplan, VIP, Qlik, MSBI) to ensure accuracy and transparency across all stakeholders.

  • Turn Insights into Action: Lead analytical workstreams (VPM, M&E, promotional effectiveness) to identify commercial levers and inform tactical and strategic pricing decisions.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or postgraduate education a plus

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue management, commercial finance, sales strategy, or related fields

  • Strong analytical capabilities and a proven ability to influence decisions through data

  • Commercial acumen with a track record of translating insights into sustainable growth strategies

  • Experience with syndicated data sources, pricing tools, and promotional analytics

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
