About the role
As Envelio rapidly scales in the U.S., we’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and help shape the future of clean energy. You’ll focus on building relationships and closing deals with Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs) and the largest Cooperative and Municipal utilities, expanding our presence in the Western U.S.
In this role, you will own the full sales cycle, from identifying new opportunities to negotiating and closing contracts, while partnering closely with Marketing, Solutions Engineering, and our leadership team. As the face of Envelio in your territory, you’ll connect the needs of potential clients with our cutting-edge software solutions for grid digitalization, automation, and planning.
Location: Remote in Mountain (MT) or Central (CT) time zone. (Travel up to 50%)
Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop and execute a high-impact territory sales plan aligned with company growth goals.
- Identify and prioritize target accounts using market data, industry insights, and a hunter’s mindset.
- Lead the complete sales process: prospecting, discovery, solution scoping, pricing, and contract negotiation.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and activity tracking in Salesforce and related platforms.
- Partner with Marketing on targeted campaigns and with Solution Engineering on technical proposals.
- Build and manage detailed account plans for key opportunities to ensure long-term success.
- Represent Envelio at industry events, conferences, and client meetings (travel up to 50%).
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)
- 5–7+ years of sales experience, preferably in the utility or energy technology sector; SaaS experience highly desirable.
- Located in Mountain Time (MT) or Central Time (CT).
- Proven success selling to large U.S. electric utilities (IOUs, Co-ops, and Munis).
- Strong sales discipline: pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and structured account planning.
- Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Ability to design and execute an effective territory sales strategy.
- Success working in a start-up or small company environment, with a high degree of self-direction.
